Tino Kadewere out for three weeks. The Le Havre striker – on loan from Lyon – suffered the injury in his team’s goalless draw against Lens last Friday. He missed Havre’s trip to Grenoble Foot Monday night which ended 1-1. Kadewere went for a scan yesterday, as exclusively reported by H-Metro, and results showed he needs at least three weeks to recover.
Warriors striker Tino Kadewere is expected to recover from his hamstring injury in three weeks’ time, allaying fears of missing the 2021 Afcon back-to-back qualifiers against Algeria next month.
“I went for a scan today (yesterday) and the results showed that I have a muscle pull grade which normally takes the minimum of three weeks’ time to heal,” said Kadewere.
The country’s most expensive footballer, however, said his doctor hinted on possibilities of early recovery. “But the doctor said with how I look and train, I will be good in two weeks,” he said.
Kadewere has banged 18 goals and assisted four times for his side in 22 matches and was looking forward to continue with his form. The France-based star believes the injury came at the wrong time and is a setback to his goals.
“The injury came at a wrong time and of course it hurts a lot but there is nothing I can do. “It is part of football. The goal now is to work extra hard during rehab so that I come back strong and ready to go again,” said Kadewere.
